The development of the theory of integral transformations for complicated models of heat and mass transfer is proposed. A method for calculating temperature fields in multilayer media is proposed. Media with piecewise constant thermophysical characteristics (composite media) are considered. It is shown that the problems of nonstationary heat and mass transfer in such media allow uniform solution by means of appropriately selected integral transformation. The proposed method differs favorably from the operating method in that it eliminates serious technical and computational difficulties, which in some cases become insurmountable for the operating method.
