Trust Detection and Prevention Framework to Eliminate the Black Hole Nodes in Manets

Abstract

This In this paper, we propose a behavioral black hole detection and prevention model in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) to combat black hole attacks. The proposed detection and prevention model proposes a Bayesian trust relationship between the two sensor nodes. The trust model is used for finding malicious nodes in MANETs using prevention framework. The main aim of the prevention framework is to observe the behavior of malicious nodes in the network. The proposed system avoids the effects arising due to malicious nodes in MANETs and improves the routing performance using the Bayesian model. Thus, the privacy of data is improved with high detection ability. The result proves that the proposed method obtains an increased packet drop rate, reduced false positive rate and reduced black hole detection time, which is better than the existing method.
