Dr. Anupa Sinha and Mohit Chornele
Abstract

In the rapidly growing health and fitness industry, the need for digital solutions to manage gym operations efficiently has become increasingly vital. This research paper presents the development of a comprehensive webbased Gym Management System (GMS), designed to automate and streamline core administrative and operational tasks within fitness centers. GMS platform provides a unified solution for membership management, tracking attendance, trainer rosters, equipment inventory, and financial transactions, thus overcoming the shortcomings of conventional manual systems. Influenced by contemporary enterprise management systems, the system places high importance on user accessibility, instant processing of data, and safe handling of information. The article investigates the architectural style, system design flow, and implementation approach for GMS based on PHP as the server language and MySQL as the database skeleton. The dynamic member registration, staff payroll control, subscription renewals, logging of attendance, and detailed report functionalities are central features of the system. Modularity and scalability have been considerations in designing every module to meet different gym sizes and business demands. By a mix of technological advancement and functional usability, the Gym Management System showcases substantial potential to redefine conventional fitness club management by automating processes, enhancing service provision, and enriching the general member experience. This paper finishes with a mention of future additions, including support for mobile applications, biometric integrations, and AI-powered fitness suggestions, to continue the development of the platform as a next-generation fitness industry solution.
