Network security is becoming increasingly important to PC users, organizations, and the military. With the advent of the Internet, security has become a major concern, and a history of security can help us better understand the emergence of security technologies. The network structure itself allows for the emergence of various security threats. With the evolution of Internet standards, it may be possible to reduce attacks over the network. Understanding the attack path allows us to take appropriate security measures. Many businesses protect themselves from cyberattacks with firewalls and encryption. These businesses create an "intranet" that is connected to the Internet but protected from threats. The entire field of cybersecurity is vast and constantly evolving. In order to understand contemporary research, it is important to have an understanding of the history of the Internet, its vulnerabilities, attacks on the Internet, and security protocols, and therefore should be reviewed.
