Abstract

VOCsare those air pollutants, in gaseous state, which are present in the atmosphere. It has been reported that around 200 VOCs were identified as harmful as many of them are categorized as hazardous pollutants. They contain benzene, toluene and aromatic hydrocarbons which are mainly fuel of injecting causing a many harmful diseases in the nervous system of human.Referring to hazardous organic particles, benzene, toluene, xylene, trimethylbenzene, dicholobenzene, tetrachloethylene and sulfur compounds are the main elements of sewage treatment plants (STPs) which are emitted during treatment process.
