As the information sharing across the web is booming in exhaustive loads every day, checks of academic publishing and a fair mode of author citation/authorship / attribution continues to be-come a challenge and raises few questions in the minds of plagiarism detection researchers. This paper provides a clear map-ping between the plagiarism detection guidelines and plagiarism taxonomy; these two milestones that have already been accepted by the research community at large. These mapping Rules act as a generic set of detection heuristics that can be used to design ready-to-implement plagiarism-checking tools combating all possible shortcomings realized during the implementation of the state-of-art available tools.
