Abstract

We know that diseases of the maxillary mandibular joint (TMJ) are diagnosed in 70-80% of the adult population and occupies a prominent place among dental morbidity [8,18], and often (from 28 to 76%) people treat with TMJ to the dentist [1, 10, 11]; their main complaint is about pain in the area of the joint, ear, temple, headaches, limitation of the range of mobility of the jaw, clicking, crunching or “locking”, a feeling of stiffness. [1,23]. As a result, the presence of these symptoms leads to the fact that patients become anxious, and their mood is suppressed, they have reduced appetite, sleep disturbance, and disbelief in recovery develops [5].
