The main purpose of this article to authors is to identify the main factors affecting the effectiveness of technical support of the armed forces (AF) state with regard to the introduction cataloging items of supply (SS), and to determine the effectiveness of technical support of the armed forces with the use of cataloging PS. To achieve this goal, a brief analysis of the application of cataloging in the activities of the armed forces at the national and international level is given, and some relationships between the influence of modern information technologies on the capabilities of technical support of the armed forces are disclosed. As the main element of Informatization of the processes of technical support of troops, the article considers the cataloging of PS using modern software and hardware complexes. The article is a review in view of the specificity of the material presented. To collect data from secondary sources, the authors used: a qualitative method for obtaining data in search studies, the tool of which is Desk research; a quantitative method for obtaining data in descriptive studies, the tool of which is content analysis. To collect data from primary sources used: method of obtaining quantitative data in descriptive research, a tool which selected the survey method, the Delphi experts relevant to the issues of technical support of the armed forces, work with the enterprises of the military-industrial complex and implementation of the cataloguing of the SS, which was selected due to the ease, reliability and simplicity of the survey; direct high-quality method of receiving data in exploratory studies, a tool which is in-depth interviews with experts.
