Electronic Student Worksheet Design based on Guided Discovery Learning to Improve Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract

Critical thinking in the 21st century is a skill that every individual must possess. Education is one place to grow and even develop critical thinking skills. Learning resources that have not linked critical thinking skills affect the success of learning achievement. This study aims to analyze and design the needs of electronic student worksheets based on the Guided Discovery Learning model that can foster a student’s critical thinking skills. The electronic student worksheet development model adopts the ADDIE model. ADDIE stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subject is student Class XI Engineering, SMK Muhammadiyah Sentolo. Data collection instruments using interview guidelines and observation sheets. Techniques of observation to right to obtain information from teachers and learners associated learner model of late, the characteristics of learners, and Ability’s critical thinking. The research concludes that students require electronic student worksheets based on Guided Discovery Learning following the characteristics of the students. An electronic student worksheet is designed to increase the inability to think critically. The electronic student worksheet component includes a cover page, preface, table of contents, concept map, Core Competencies, basic competencies, basic indicators, student worksheet activities, evaluations, and summaries. The electronic student worksheet design was declared suitable for use. Research more can be done on ta hap development, implementation, and evaluation.
