The development of information technology has encouraged the communication systems to adapt many devices for different purposes. The Internet of Things (IoT) is one among them which has been designed for distinct purposes. The application of IoT devices and systems has no extend and does not share any common features and communication protocols. However, there exist numerous techniques to perform routing and authentication; they suffer to achieve required performance. To solve the problem of routing and authentication, a multi-factor secure routing with Attribute Based Elliptic Curve Cryptography (AB-ECC) has been presented in this paper. The method identifies the list of devices located in its transmission range to reach a base station. Using them list of routes has been identified and for each route the method estimates secure routing strength (SRS) value. The SRS value has been used for routing in secure manner. Similarly, the IoT devices are verified for their authentication using AB-ECC. The experimental results show that the proposed AB-ECC has produced higher result in secure routing and authentication.
