Specificity Of Veterinary Terms In The Kazakh And Russian Languages

Abstract

Specific terminology is a set of terms for all directions of the discipline, which conform to the necessary requirements specified to terms, i.e. expediency, orderliness, consistency, etc. The volume of contemporary veterinary terminology is important. The aim of the study was to conduct a terminological analysis and establish the features of the formation of terms in the Kazakh and Russian languages and their combinations in veterinary terminology, taking the terminology system of veterinary medicine as an example. For this reason, term motivation is directly analyzed in the article on examples of zoological terms, which are characteristic of epizootologic terminology as a branch of veterinary terminology. The author considers a problem of motivation of specific term as a psycholinguistic field. The revealed lacunas emphasize national and cultural specific character of people’s worldview. The reasons of lacuna are various: motivation specifics of names of animal diseases in Russian and Kazakh speaks about the system of people’s choice.
