Abstract

In the article, the author addresses the history of deportation of millions of people of different nationalities from their homeland in the 30s and 40s of the XX century. On the basis of archival documents, the reasons for the resettlement of peoples, their social, economic, cultural and example of the peoples of the Caucasus. Due to the fact that the bulk of the Caucasian peoples deported to the Central Asian republics were resettled in the Republic of Kazakhstan and their number in the republic was about half a million, the topic is mainly explained on the example of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
