Instead of mineral oil, water hydraulic system uses seawater or tap water as medium of its operation. However, the medium stimulates reactions upon the components of the system due to contact and friction. While hydraulic system may be a preferred green and sustainable system, advanced acknowledge and understanding on its performance remain unestablished. In present work, the tribology of bone in contact with stainless steel as water hydraulic valve is computationally simulated. Increase in contact pressure is found to be contributed by the extent of sliding distance. Wear depth is also subsequently increased in this manner. Higher normal load applied on the model exhibits higher contact pressure in between metal-bone pair model.
