Abstract

There has always been great interest in early fire detection systems around the world. With the development of microelectronic technology there are new ways of revealing fire sources by gas emission at the stage of smouldering and pyrolysis. When gas control systems are installed in a controlled room, it is possible to detect the appearance of gases characteristic of the thermal decomposition of organic materials by changing the atmosphere composition in the room. Application of the new class of gas detectors allows to build a more complex fire safety system for objects. Gas detectors are not critical to the dustiness of the atmosphere and high humidity. These devices give a signal not only about fire hazardous conditions, but also about unfavorable conditions of gas contamination of the controlled volume with toxic gases dangerous for human health. Thus, at present there are practically no standards for installation of gas detectors in the premises of the facility, and meanwhile, it is rational placement of gas detectors that determines the efficiency of their application. In this article the mathematical method of calculation of rational location of gas detectors for premises has been proposed.
