Abstract

The article presents data from a survey of 120 girls who marry during a preventive check-up between the ages of 18 and 22 living in Samarkand. The study showed a high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency among women living in Samarkand city. Thus, among women of young fertile age it is 23%. An environmental risk factor for the development of low levels of vitamin D in the body is air pollution, which reduces the amount of solar energy, especially ultraviolet rays, which are lost as they pass through the contaminated layers of the air and the intensity of synthesis of vitamin D decreases by half.
