Designing of emotional intelligence On Jobsatisfaction

Abstract

This study was to empirically investigate the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) on job satisfaction. This study shows that emotional intelligence components have impact on job satisfaction. The paper purposes to study the problem of obtaining maximum job satisfaction depending on the design of emotional intelligence. This design helps employees to study other emotions to regulate their own emotions to be more successful. The capability to recognize other emotions is the assets for an individual to become successful in life. The five stages in designing emotions are self awareness, self regulation ,self motivation ,social awareness and ,social skill. The designing of emotional intelligence intends to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. Data collected from 200 teachers of Odia medium and English medium high schools of Cuttack district. Data obtained from 200 teachers in Cuttack are used to examine the hypothesized relationship among study variables. The result of the studyshows significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. Moreover, these findings indicate that teachers with high emotional intelligence are more likely to have higher levels of job satisfaction.
