Unsteady Stokes Flow of a Viscous Fluid in a Parallel Plate Channel through a Porous Medium

In fluid dynamics, unsteady stokes flow of viscous fluid is one of the major area of research. In this paper we examine the same in a parallel plates through porous intermediate. Our analysis is carried by keeping suction, injection as constant in upper and lower plate respectively. Using similarity transformation the governing equations corresponding to the flow are solved after transforming them into partial differential equations. We derived the exact analytical solution of the velocity in the porous intermediate. To discuss the behavior of the fluid different governing parameters such as axial and transverse velocity, pressure distribution were studied computationally. The fluid flow velocity and the impacts of different parameters concerning to our problem is expressed analytically with the help of graph.
