With the proliferation of several premium cloud services by different service providers and their utility by the wide range users, Security and Confidentiality for the data stored in the cloud is considered to be a major concern. In this context, wide range research is being carried on the adoption of several existing cryptographic techniques to enable secured layer in cloud. With the advent of Quantum Computing, Quantum cryptographic techniques and Quantum Key distribution Protocols (QKD) are gaining the attention of researchers in the past few years to enhance the security standards and authentication verification in cloud. This paper presents a systematic study of existing quantum protocols that enables the next generation researchers to explore the open areas of research in Quantum Cryptographic techniques and their application in cloud.
