Abstract

Neural signal recording are becoming increasingly important as it enhanced to understand brain activities and for producing potentially therapeutic and prosthetic applications. The neural signals are very small i.e. from 20μV to 5mV in amplitude and lies in the range of 0.1Hz to 5 kHz. Hence to understand such a small signal we need an amplifier maintaining low noise and low power. In this paper, we present three neuronal amplifiers i.e. Telescopic, Folded Cascode and Chopper Stabilized. They are designed on the 0.18m technology with the 3.3 power supply. Telescopic amplifier has a measured gain of 74db, total output noise of 1.02189uV/rtHz within the frequency range 1Hz-10 kHzand power dissipation of 0.2867μW and folded Cascode amplifier gives the gain of 64 dB, total output noise is 14.589μV/rtHz within the frequency gain of 1Hz-10 kHz and power dissipation is 0.03466nW.
