Kite Shaped patch antenna for WLAN, Wi- Max and Medical Applications

Abstract

A kite shaped patch antenna has been proposed in this paper. Kite shape is made using two triangular shaped patches. The various simulation results mainly consisting of s-parameter, impedance, VSWR, gain, radiation pattern, Ludwig 3 right and Ludwig 3 left measurements are discussed. This structure also attains circular polarization. Operating frequency range from 2.29 GHz to 2.86 GHz is covered with resonance at 2.557 GHz and covers 2.4 GHz band. Moreover, another band which ranges from 5.83 GHz to 6.8 GHz is also achieved. So, this antenna design can be used in various applications like RLAN, WLAN, Wi-Fi, Wi-MAX, 3G, 4G, 5G and others medical application.
