Environmental pollution and large amount of energy consumption are the main concerns in transport sector. So battery technology is developed because of the concerns. By replacing ICE vehicles with EV a negative effect on EV charging load on the power system values are observed. Impact of fast EV charging station loads on distribution network are difficult to ignore. The high charging loads from the fast charging stations lead to increase in demand for peak loads, reserve margins, voltage variability and reliability problems. The most important parameter of the distribution network is reliability. It is one of the key operating parameters, whose deterioration can contribute to customer dissatisfaction. The objective of this paper is to analyze and calculate the effect of EV charging station loads on reliability of the standard radial network IEEE 33 bus test system.
