Speech Recognition for Moroccan Dialects: Feature Extraction and Classification Methods

Abstract

Speech is the most efficient form of exchanging information and the major way of communication among human beings. Speech processing is one of the most important signal processing domains. Speech recognition is a technique that allows recognizing the spoken words by the human based on the speech signal. This paper presents a technical overview of the speech recognition systems and their recent improvement concerning feature extraction techniques, speech classifiers and performance assessment. The objective of this survey is to describe some used methods of the speech recognition system based on Moroccan dialects.
