Performance Evaluation of Three Phase Shunt Active Power Filter in Power System Using Non-Linear Controller

This article proposes a non-linear controller (NLC) based Shunt Active Power Filter(SAPF)for power quality improvements. Here, Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is chosen as NLC to improve the performance of the SAPF. In this study, power system parameters are tested with help of the non-linear load via NLC and SAPF. The reference_ current of SAPF is arrived from the product of unit vector and computed maximum current reference. Here, the PWM pulses for SAPF switches are generated using Hysteresis Bang-Bang Current Controller (HBBCC). MATLAB/Simulink software platform is used verify the various power quality parameters of the designed model at various states.
