BIG DATA ANALYSIS IN DETERMINING TOURIST PACKAGE PRICES

Abstract

Tourism has been a lifestyle for millennial generations in this modern era. In carrying out its tourism activities this generation prefers to order train or airplane tickets, hotels on line. This online booking produces a very large amount of data and can be utilized by travel agents. One of the benefits is in determining the price of tour packages. This study uses the description method, which aims to describe the procedure to determine the price of tour packages using big data analysis. Big data analysis includes the stages of generation, collection, analysis and exchange. Inputs used for analysis are tourist preferences, distance between tourist attractions, costs related to tourism activities, competitor prices, seasonal prices, last minute prices. Based on the analysis of big data, the optimal price of tour packages can be determined.
