Abstract

Cloud Computing is today’s research area having challenges such as resource utilizations and making cloud efficient with availability of required Virtual Machine Instances. Cloud environment has relevant effect on the performance and cost of application. This work aims at providing an effective resource provisioning approach using Linear programming with minimum cost and time. The approach is used for identification of the Virtual Machines and mapping of job with respect to Virtual Machines. The effectiveness of the proposed model has been checked by processing images on the clusters. It has been observed that in spite of network load and increase in number of requests, due to application of clustering approach used in algorithm response time gets reduced. Simulation results confirm that utilization of resources is improved.
