Indian Tribal Issues and Counteractions in Select Indian Writings

India is a land which consists of a large number of subaltern groups or tribal clans. In a developing country like India tribes are forced to face serious issues in the name of development. Tribes are not only the sufferers, but they resist against various problems in the society. In the present era through tribal literature the writers voice against the issues of tribes. Tribes are forced to suffer by the civilized majority in many ways. The issues faced by them are man-made in the name of technological expansion. The study is to highlight some of the major issues faced by the tribal clans. Social issues, economic issues, health issues, cultural debasement and migration are some of the issues which are discussed in the paper. It also gives a brief idea about the mindset of tribal people who resist against modern influence and advancement. They believe that the modern technology lead to disaster and there won’t be any peace in the society. The last part of the study discusses about the ideas of tribes regarding the nature and future of the world.
