Today’s workplace is a confluence of technology and innovation which requires a committed workforce for long term sustainability. Two important generations which are the subject matter of the discussion among several HR practitioners are the present generation ‘Y’ and the future one ‘Z’. There are several studies on generational comparison in the literature but this piece of research is unique in identifying the job expectations of the future workforce and comparing them with the expectations of the presently existing workforce. HR strategies to attract Gen Z and retain Gen Y. Grey Relational Analysis was performed on 345 responses collected from senior secondary students (Gen Z) and working individuals (Gen Y) located in Bengaluru city of India.
