Abstract

Waste water treatment or water quality control is one of the major process in an industry. Water quality in an industry is done by maintaining the pH of the water which is used for the different processes in the industry. The effluents constantly undergo changes because of several reasons such as variation in water chemistry due to seasonal changes, varying plant operating conditions and other factors. An industrial networked control system (INCS) is one of the upcoming technologies, where the data can be transferred from one medium of place to any location. Here various control techniques are implemented to identify the optimized controller which would help the process to work smoothly. In this paper, the pH process is checked under the networked environment using different controllers such as IMC based PID controller, Direct Synthesis PID controller, CDM based controller, Model Predictive Controller (MPC).
