An important stage of information system development is Requirement Elicitation. There is few research articles available on Systematic Research analysis on Requirement Elicitation. The purpose of doing this research is to explore relationships between 8 different dependent variables (RE techniques) and different parameters (independent variable) those are time taken for elicitation, experience of the analyst, and number of stakeholders, and number of functionalities. We have identified 51 articles from the referred Journals from different databases like Taylor/Springer, Google Scholar, ABI Inform/Science Direct/IEEEXPLORE/Francis. Keyword analysis, Influential authors and journals, Citation analysis, guideline for selecting RE techniques are presented in this paper. The synthesis of these articles have revealed that relatively smaller amount of was conducted on RE technique, and, second, framing conceptual framework was major focus of researcher’s. This paper can help decision makers in selecting appropriate RE technique and to understand the recent development in RE.
