Opimization of Some Parameters That Effecting on Hardness of Al-Fe Recycling Alloy

Abstract

The paper focused on to study the effect of adding different weight ratios of iron to aluminum alloy, time of homogenization treatment, time of solution treatment and the temperature of artificial aging on the hardness of Al-Fe recycling alloy. According to Response Surface methodology a multi-optimization method based on the desirability function used to obtain the optimum process conditions. The hardness result that obtained by optimization is (82.3167 HBW) when the weight ratioof iron is (15 Wt. %), time of homogenization is (240 min.), time of solution treatment is(60 min.) and the temperature of artificial aging is (240°C).
