Abstract

Wireless sensor networks are comprised of different attacks, particularly damaging wormhole attack, which totally decimated the network topology. Because of the wormhole attack, the sensor hubs are misinformed that the base station is accessible to few steps ahead. Subsequently, the most limited way is chosen to transmit the information. At long last, all the traffic way goes through the attacker's hub which prompts unapproved access to the significant information. In this paper, we examine the primary view of WSN and talk about security issues and difficulties. At that point, we go to expand the wormhole attack and proposed a Novel energy-efficient routing algorithm (NEERA) for detect and prevent the harmful attack utilizing path verification and neighbor discovering mechanism. The outcome shows that the proficiency of our proposed one by utilizing the NS2 simulator. As compared with the existing methods like TRM-AODV, AOMDV the proposed approach is effective and promising dependent on applied execution measurements.
