Lung cancer ranks second in the list of fatal diseases that affects mankind. In this process, the detection of lung cancer is done by using various computer aided techniques. A pre- processing increase image quality by eradicating the distortion and upgrades the vital highlights which is nothing but the features. This framework utilizes some pre-processing strategy, such as anisotropic diffusion filter and segmentation to enhance the CT scan images. After this phase the lung cancer nodule were extricated by utilizing GLCM. The obtained image through preceding phases was sent in to SVM for training and building them retains the ability to perceive and sort the disease. The proposed approach reduces the error rate for detection.
