Abstract

Having outperformed 5 billion human beings associated with mobile services in the year 2017, the worldwide mobile industry will achieve a significant stage at a higher level in the succeeding eight years. The quantity of distinctive versatile subscribers will achieve 5.9 billion by 2025, proportional to 71% of the total world's population. The Android operating system is the most broadly utilized smart phone operating system. Android operating system provides the subsequent category of security screen lock mechanism options namely pattern lock, PIN lock, password lock, etc. Pattern lock is a prevalent method to secure Android mobile phone as they are a considerable measure less demanding to recollect than PIN codes or passwords. Actually, around 40% of Android mobile phone proprietors decide on this lock technique which expects them to draw a confidential design on a grid of specks to ingress the device. Due to the expanded portability of the smart phones and its security features, users are storing their important personal information into the smart phones and In the meantime time the criminals can utilize Smartphone for various tasks. Namely perpetrate a criminal deception intended to result over email intimidation through text messages, drug trafficking, child erotica etc. If the mobile device is identified in a criminal activity and if it is locked then it is a challenge to the forensic investigator to bypass the screen lock. In this research paper we proposed a new CS (Chandrasekhar and Srinivas) pattern cracker algorithm, to crack the pattern lock of the Android mobile phone without data loss for forensic examination. The research methodology describes how to unbar the pattern lock. The experimental results shows how to unlock simple and hardest pattern locks by using the CS pattern cracker algorithm.
