G.N. Maxmudova and F.B. Daniarova

Activation of attracted investment in agrarian sector in Uzbekistan will accelerate structural transformations and modernization processes in the economy. The existence of a number of problems in improving the investment in agrarian sector necessitates the effective utilization of creative and innovative approaches used in world practice. The current problems in this area are: 1. In spite of the fact that more than 19.2% of the country's GDP was created in the agrarian sector, in 2017 investments in this sector accounted for only 3.3%1 of total investments. 2. The use of the commercial banks' loans and services of international credit institutions by economic entities operating in the agricultural sector such as farmers, dehkan and private subsidiary farms and other enterprises remain unsatisfactory. This problem, on the one side, is based on the solvency of farmers and the second is the high level of financial services provided to them. "Modernization and accelerated development of agriculture" is highlighted as priority task in the Movement Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021.2 From this point of view, the diversification of the economy requires extensive investment in the agrarian sector.
