Abstract

Activities in farming can be automated to make it as a dynamic and intelligent work instead of static and manual. This automation reduces the supervision requirement of human and increases the productivity. Automatic watering system is used in automated irrigation system to monitor as well as to maintain a soil moisture as a constant one. The leaf moisture level also maintained using this automated system. Gas indications are measured using gas sensors. The pH sensors also used for measuring and sensing purpose. The measured values are displayed in the LCD. The control unit is implemented using Arduino Uno platform which has ATMEGA328P microcontroller. The exact moisture level of soil is measured by soil moisture sensor in the setup. Based on the measured value required level of water is used by system to avoid under or over irrigation. Statuses of sprinklers are updated to the farmers using IOT. GSM- GPRS SIM900A modem is used to update the measured values of various sensors in webpage regularly, so that, ON/OFF condition of sprinklers can be checked by the farmers at any time. Graph are generated by sending this sensor measured values to Thing speak channel in analysis.
