An Empirical Investigation into the Factors Influencing While Purchasing Car in India-A Confirmatory Factor Analysis

Abstract

Indian Automobile sector is growing at a very faster rate and the inclination of buying cars has increased substantially over last two decades. The paper attempts to find out the factors influencing a consumer while planning to by a car. A sample of 303 respondents was collected from the consumer planning to buy a car within six months. It revealed that the first factor influencing the purchasing of car is perceived behavioural control, subjective norm behavioural intention attitude and intention were also found to be important determinants purchasing the cars in India.
