An Examination into the Impact of Leadership Style on the Organisational Commitment of Employees in ITES Industry

The basic work of a leader is to influence their team to the fullest so that the team gains most of the motivation within the firm to work. The whole team works in the same direction as of the whole organization. This paper intends to study the impact of various leadership styles on the organisational commitment of employees working in ITES industry. The data was collected from around 450 employees working in various IT and ITES companies in India with the help of Google forms and snowball sampling was used to get the forms filled from the employees. It was found that all the leadership styles have an impact on the organisational commitment but out of all these styles transformational leadership has been considered as the best suited style of leadership impacting organisational commitment.
