An Empirical Investigation into the Factor Influencing the Purchase Intention of Smart Phones-Application of Theory of Planned Behaviour

Recent study surveyed that there are some features in the smart phone that is advantageous for every smart phone user likewise the payment applications, internet access, multimedia content, internet banking, social networking, shopping and lifestyle related applications, whereas applications like messaging and calling are basic.The intention of this paper is to examine the factors influencing the purchase intention of smart phones in India.The present study clearly indicated that self-efficacy is not an important determinant for smart phone purchase. Attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and perceived knowledge were found to be vital determinant for smart phone purchase.
