Establishing a startup company in today’s world have become a trend where many assume it to be a shortcut to fame and fortune. However, startups face a high risk of failure where numerous startups fail in just a couple of months. To overcome or mitigate the problems that result in startup failure, startups need assistance in specific areas of their organization, such as gaining access to knowledge, market exposure, training programs or making Business-to-Business alliances. In this paper, emphasis is placed on the introduction of a shared platform called TechStacin. It is an easy-to-use website which assist startups to interact with a broad number of support providers in order to apply for aid programs of their choice in Malaysia. Support providers can also promote and broadcast their programs to all relevant startups, instead of physically searching for them. In this study, two categories of primary research were used: (1) a qualitative research in the form of interviews and (2) a quantitative research in the form of questionnaires. Secondary research was done by analyzing five case studies and one similar system. To further test the system’s functionality, system validations were performed through Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing. The findings of the research and results gathered indicated that TechStacin does indeed create a successful communication link between a startup and a support provider. This in return creates a transparent support application process for startups and support providers alike.
