Graduation Management System using QR Scan technology

Chen Xin Wan, Minnu Helen Joseph and Khurshid Begum Abdul Jabbar
Abstract

University graduation ceremonies are classified as official celebrations that bring together societal, traditional values and a conventional recognition marking the formal recognition of accomplishment made by graduates. Many universities still use the traditional approach in performing the processes involved in the three-phased approach of university graduation ceremonies which consist of pre-graduation, during graduation and post-graduation phases. This has reduced the efficiency and productivity level in managing university graduation ceremonies producing a less than desirable impact. The proposed system helps to automate these processes using a web-based platform combined with QR Scan technology for verification leading to a more efficient and productive approach.
