Differential Evolution in Ad-hoc Networks

Shashi Prabha and Raghav Yadav
Abstract

Mobile Ad-hoc network is an infrastructure-less spontaneously formed wireless environment. The topologies keep on changing rapidly, which makes difficult to find optimal path from source to destination. This paper presents effective secure routing solutions for mobile ad-hoc network called differential evolutionary based routing protocol for mobile ad-hoc networks. The defined components trust factor and battery power of objective function are capable of identifying most promising route which automatically minimizes the effect of malicious node. The simulation is carried out to evaluate performance of differential evolutionary based routing protocol in terms of packet delivery ratio, route optimality and average end-to-end delay. Results are compared with conventional routing protocol DSR.
