Image Compression Using Wavelet Transform and Orthogonal Matching Pursuit

Improved data transmission and excellent memory utility requires picture data compression. The use of wavelet transform is one of the finest image compression methods.The Wavelet Transform methods are used for image compression, depending on the type of wavelet that improves sparsity.The transform wavelet is used to convert the picture into a sparse image and the compression picture is done using the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP). System analysis checked in PSNR (peak signal to noise ratio) form. system assessment.Orthogonal matching is useful in retrieving a sparse picture with few measurements.It can be made sparse by the application of wavelets on an image.The most effective algorithm for the quality of the decompressed picture is the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP).
