Entrepreneurial Orientation and Educational Levels in Malaysian Indian Ethnic Entrepreneurs

Abstract

Entrepreneurial orientation of ethnic minority small businesses has prompted this study to explore entrepreneurial orientation (EO) of Malaysian Indian ethnic entrepreneurs. This paper explores the role of educational levels and entrepreneurial orientation of Malaysian Indian ethnic entrepreneurs. The respondents for this study were the Malaysian Indian ethnic entrepreneurs from selected areas from Malaysia states such as Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Penang and Kedah. The results of 201 respondents revealed that there are differences in entrepreneurial orientation practices based on the educational levels among Malaysian Indian ethnic entrepreneurs.Finally, discussion and suggestions were discussed in this paper.
