Abstract

In this paper, proposes a new multilevel topology photovoltaic or fuel cell inverter for single or three phase grid connected applications and focused on novel nearest level PWM method. it balancing the switch utilization in multilevel inverter. It is similar to cascaded H-bridge multilevel inerter is one of the favored converter topologies for use in high power devices. Eleven-level cascaded multilevel inverter circuit has been simulated and controlled with the novel nearest level PWM proposed in this paper and it act as a voltage source inverter. New cascaded multilevel inverter topology with reduced number of dc source and power switches, Comparison is presented for recent and proposed multilevel inverter topology to prove the required number of power electronics components and blocking voltages. The designed topology is compared with diode also to show the output voltage with improved voltage THD harmonic profile. The nearest level modulation technique is introduced with different DC offset value to evaluate the voltage harmonic at the load and the out is compared with various PWM techniques. The validation is done for presented topology by using simulation software MATLAB/Simulink and laboratory based experimental test.
