Analysis of Buying Intention for Green Products among Metro City People by Focusing Chennai City

Environmental concern has become the most important issue for Human beings in the present world. The present environment continues to worsen and it has become a great challenge for the developed and developing countries to tackle the environment related issues. The People are more concerned towards the green movement to preserve the nature. The objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing for green products buying intention among metro city people of Chennai. For this purpose a structure questionnaire was distributed to 268 respondents who were aware of green products. In this regard three factors towards Buying intention for green products was analysed namely Ecological Consciousness, Motivation and Attitude towards Green Products. It has been found from the study that ecological consciousness factor played major role, followed by attitude towards green products buying factor and motivation to buy green products.
