Dermatology Disease Detection Model Using Image Processing and Recurrent Neural Networks

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the hair, nails, skin and their diseases, a specialty with both medical and surgical backgrounds. A dermatologist deals with infections, in the most stretched out sense and some corrective issues of the skin, scalp, hair and nails. In this paper, we propose a framework which recognizes the skin sicknesses utilizing Image Processing and Recurrent Neural Network. The system successfully detects different types of dermatological skin diseases such as keratosis, furuncle, warts, allergic eczema, acrochordon and acne. It consists of phases like disease image processing, training and neural network detection. In image processing, algorithms including Pre-processing, Digital filters, Transformation and feature extraction are employed followed by detection of LSB and HSV values. Disease corresponding to the respective input images gets detected by recurrent neural network algorithm.
