EGCOPRAS: QoS-Aware Hybrid MCDM Model for Cloud Service Selection in Multi-Cloud Environment

Abstract

With the commercial availability of the cloud, there is an enormous proliferation in the cloud service utility by a vast range of users. In this context, an automated selection of absolute cloud service based on user preferences plays a vital role in satisfying the user requirements. As different cloud service providers enable similar cloud services for user there is a need for the evaluation of the Quality of Service parameters of every cloud service based on their price, performance, and functionality. A fair and relevant assessment is still an open challenge due to the diverse deployment options and availability of similar features in different cloud services. Addressing this problem this paper proposes a hybrid multi-criteria decision making approach EGCOPRAS to quantify and analyze QoS parameters and compute the utility degree of the cloud services based on user preferences.
