Cloud computing is an emerging area so frequent advancement is needed in this area .There are so many loopholes in the cloud area for attackers to intrude. This is also pay per use computing so providers need to satisfy their customers in all aspects. A cloud service provider(CSP) offers the service to place our files online and saved files could be accessed from anywhere. The retrieval of files is the point where high security risk arises. The files are far apart from the users in some server, sometimes across the country. So the major data security issues of availability, confidentiality and integrity are the challenging issues for clients and also the CSP. In this paper we are going to discuss about the data storage methods, and its merits and demerits. Then a storage framework is proposed to overcome the challenges faced by the existing storage methods.
