The Readiness Level of Rural Community on Mushroom-based Business in Kedah

This study aims to identify the readiness level of rural community on mushroom-based business in state of Kedah. To date, the rate of engagement of entrepreneurs in the industry in Malaysia is still low. The respondent are chosen from felda community in Kedah northern region branch. Questionnaires were distributed to the participant on the readiness level on mushroom-based business. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 22.The result of this program found that participants have high percentage of readiness to involve in mushroom cultivation business. Therefore the potential entrepreneurs among the rural community should be exposed and could be trained in order to improve the standard of living and employment opportunities, especially in felda community.
