An EPQ Deteriorating Inventory Model for Seasonal Products with Volume Flexibility Under Finite Horizon

The study has been modelled here to investigate a deteriorating inventory problem under the finite time horizon, where the items deteriorate at a constant rate. Model is developed for the seasonal products and the demand rate is taken to be the trapezoidal function of time. Volume flexibility also considered here. The production rate is assumed as a linear function of demand rate and the production cost depends on the material co, labour cost and the volume of the inventory. A mathematical model is developed here and the results are illustrated through the numerical example. Finally the sensitivity analysis is provided to study the effect of change of parameters.
